NISSAN GT-R 3.8 45TH ANNIVERSARY

Written by on

For those of you that are not familiar with Nissan’s 2+2 luxury coupe and haven’t seen Fast & Furious, the manufacturer’s special edition release may take some time to get your head around.

With its twin-turbo 3.8-litre V6 engine and a pounding 542bhp, you will be expected to pay out an extra two grand for a premium interior, a one-off paint job, and a 45th Anniversary plaque in the cabin – but is it worth it?

In short – yes. With its flawless handling, superior suspension and desirable bodywork, its price tag and performance easily rivals that of an Audi RS5 or even a Porsche 911. And although its engine noise may appear to ‘fight’ like a jet plane, it’s the car’s drive and versatile capability – from country touring to neighbourhood streets – that will appeal to both novice and fuel-head alike.

Verdict: Not much has changed, but hails a nod to its yesteryear models. Great for those who are looking for an investment.
